Svetlana Cameron, FRSA, SGFA is one of the UK’s most established portrait
artists with a 20-year career dedicated to the revival and modern interpretation
of classical painting techniques. Trained in Florence in the methods of Old
Masters, Cameron is best known for her oil portraits in the so-called ‘Flemish
method’
, as well as delicate lifelike portraits of children in her award-winning
pastel technique inspired by Renaissance drawings. Svetlana Cameron creates
custom artworks for private families and public institutions with established
portraiture traditions. Her works hang in private homes in the UK, Switzerland,
France, Italy, Russia, Malta, Singapore, Japan, and Bahrain. Institutional and
public collections include Pontifical Beda College in the Vatican, Royal Regiment
of Artillery in the UK, Parliament of the Isle of Man, Cathedral Isle of Man, St
Mary’s church in the Diocese of Liverpool. Four of her portraits are included in
the UK national collection of oil paintings. Svetlana Cameron divides her time
between London and East Sussex where she works from a dedicated art studio
set in the garden of her family home. A sought-after portrait artist, she travels
internationally to participate in exhibitions and meet with her clients.
